Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Muffins

I know, I'm muffin/cupcake obsessed. I truly cannot help it. These are easy, yummy, and did I mention healthy?

Ingredients:

- 1 C unsweetened applesauce
- 2 C whole wheat flour
- 1/3 C sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 C chocolate chips
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 C milk

Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350.
- Mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl whisk together the applesauce, egg, sugar and vanilla.

- Add the flour mixture to the wet mix in thirds, stirring thoroughly. Stir in the milk, then add the chocolate chips.

- Fill muffin pan cups 2/3rds full.

- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes.
*If you have trouble with your muffins sticking to the paper liners, go ahead and carefully spray the liners with cooking spray! Sometimes muffins wit more moisture have a tendency to stick to the paper liners.*
